Halton Climate Collective

The Halton Climate Collective (HCC) is comprised of environmental leaders and engagers from: Conservation Halton, Halton Region, Town of Oakville, Town of Halton Hills, Town of Milton, City of Burlington, Halton District School Board, Halton Catholic District School Board, University of Waterloo, Sheridan College and the Halton Environmental Network. The Leaders of the HCC work together to respond to the challenges of climate change to create a climate-resilient, low-carbon Halton Community.

You asked. We measured. The HCC completed the first ever local greenhouse gas inventory to determine the amount of greenhouse gases emitted from Halton residents’ homes, and personal vehicles. Data was collected from several reliable sources, in collaboration with others. We used the Greenhouse Gas Protocol for community-scale GHG emissions inventories.

You spoke. We listened. The HCC distributed the Every Action Counts Survey to the community so we could learn more about what Halton Residents are doing to reduce their personal greenhouse gas emissions.Over 2400 Halton Residents responded.

Here are the results from the inventory and survey:
