Halton Green Screens (HGS) hosts environmental film screenings, followed by a discussion, a guest speaker, or a workshop to reinforce the concepts of the film and inspire individual and collective action for the environment.
Community screenings are currently held virtually.

In First we Eat, Suzanne Crocker, an award winning filmmaker and retired family doctor, challenged herself to spend one year feeding her family only food local in Dawson City, Yukon – a remote Northern Canadian community at 64° north, 300 km south of the Arctic Circle – to contribute to the public conversation about food self-sufficiency.

Amateur Film Festival 2018-2019


Halton Green Screens provides environmental film screenings for HEN’s other programs, acquiring the movie license, facilitating viewer registration and promotion, and arranging guest speakers or activities. Volunteers also support ticket sales and collection at these events.
