Canoe Garden
Oakville Town HallCanoe Garden at Oakville Town Hall
WHAT WE DID – OUR FIRST CANOE GARDEN – OAKVILLE BIG SHOUT-OUT TO OAKLANDS – AN ARTHOUSE NEIGHBOURHOOD COMMUNITY
Thank you Ward 3 Councillor Dave Gittings for donating a “retired” Canoe and saving it from Landfill. This Project was led by ArtHouse Visual Arts Instructor Alyssa Robinson and 16 Awesome Children Aged 7-12. This special ArtHouse Partnership with HEN and the Town of Oakville acknowledges our lands by using Plants from Kayanase Greenhouses on Six Nations and the Town of Oakville’s Greenhouse.
We have established a pollinator garden with the site registered on the Butterfly Highway; We wish to ensure a healthy habitat for Butterflies and other pollinators.
The Garden sits proudly at Town Hall Oakville.
Our Call for Action – to mitigate climate change and combat Green House Gas Emission.
