Teresa Ierullo (pronounced you-rule-oh) has more than 15 years’ experience working in the not-for-profit sector, specifically project management and program development for internationally-trained professionals, newcomers, job seekers, adult education, women in skilled trades, and more. She created the first co-op program for internationally-trained professionals in the GTA, managed the start-up of four employment resource centres in Halton region, and assisted a collaborative group of agencies to develop a service to assist adults with different abilities secure meaningful employment. A few years ago, Teresa studied Horticultural Science at Humber College “just for fun” and fell in love with having dirty hands. Over the past year, she has committed herself to making more eco-friendly changes in her life and household, starting with the goal of a zero-waste kitchen (resulting in lots of yummy home-made bread)! Greening Sacred Spaces is a chance for Teresa to combine her project management skills with her love of gardening, nature, and a commitment to do better.
